The strategy of the University of Zielona Góra for the years 2021-2030 was adopted by the resolution of the Senate of 30/06/2021.
The University of Zielona Góra (UZG) with its seat in Zielona Góra is a dynamically developing university, striving to combine tradition with modernity.
It occupies an important position within the elite group of 19 Polish classical universities. It is the largest state university in the Lubusz Province, established on June 7th, 2001 as a result of the merger of Zielona Góra University of Technology and the Higher School of Pedagogy named after Tadeusz Kotarbiński in Zielona Góra and the consolidation with the State Higher Vocational School in Sulechów on September 1st, 2017.
The strategy provides the new perspective and focuses on the comprehensive development of the University. It includes the mission statement and the vision of the University, defines its strategic and operational goals in three priority areas of development, including education, research and relations with its environment.
The education of highly qualified staff, alongside the pursuit of scientific excellence, constitutes the priority task of the University and is carried out in as many as seven fields: humanities, engineering and technical sciences, medical and health sciences, agricultural sciences, social sciences, exact and natural sciences, and arts.
